I used to think I was a watch guy.
Dozens of watches. Classic styles. Big names.
If it ticked with weight and had a story, I had to have it.
Over the years, I spent more than $40,000 building my collection.
But one random night scrolling through YouTube changed everything.
It was a short clip from a Chinese factory showing dozens of "luxury" watches being assembled on the same line.
Different logos. Same factory floor.
I paused. Rewatched. Googled.
Turns out, most of the watches I owned were made in the same 4 or 5 factories in Asia.
My stomach dropped.
